I feel your pain — my roommate is a libertarian. We have a solid agreement between the both of us to never talk politics when we drink together. It always ends poorly.
I’m sorry, that sounds not fun. And that’s probably for the best, drunk political arguments rarely end well, especially when one party is unfortunately libertarian.
